Smart Rivers Citizen Science Training

  • Strathdearn Hub Tomatin Inverness, Scotland, IV13 7YN United Kingdom (map)

As part of our exciting new partnership with WildFish and their SmartRivers project, we’re recruiting volunteer Citizen Scientists to undertake in-depth invertebrate monitoring training to help us gather highly detailed invertebrate samples from our restoration sites.

Gathering baseline data before restoration work commences, and repeating surveys once or twice per year, provides us with a valuable insight into the impact of the Findhorn Watershed Initiative over time, whilst helping to fill the national monitoring gap in UK rivers.
