An interactive and entertaining evening all about venison. Guests will be treated to a butchery demonstration, venison cookery and tasting extravaganza with double-act of former River Cottage head chef Tim Maddams and local craft butcher Nikki Wilkinson.
Venison is a healthy, sustainable and delicious source of protein, and at the Findhorn Watershed Initiative we are keen to ensure that as much as possible stays in our local food supply.
Join us for the second in our series of community events exploring why we should all be eating more venison and how to cook it well.
The event will be introduced by deer management expert Linzi Seivwright, to discuss the work of the Findhorn Watershed Deer Forum and the role that deer management plays within our wider nature recovery work and to support a thriving, local, nature-based economy. Then local craft butcher, Nikki Wilkinson, will showcase how to prepare different cuts of venison, whilst chef Tim Maddams takes to the stage with an engaging live cooking demonstration, culminating in delicious tasters for everyone to enjoy.
