River Connections: Venison – Upper catchment

An interactive and entertaining evening for community who live in and nearby to the River Findhorn watershed area, including live venison butchery, cooking and tasting extravaganza with former River Cottage head chef Tim Maddams.

It’s healthy, sustainable and delicious! Join us for a community event, as part of the Findhorn Watershed Deer Forum, to learn why we should all be eating more venison and how to cook it well.

The evening will be introduced by FWI deer management expert, Linzi Seivwright, who will discuss the key role that deer management plays within nature restoration and supporting a thriving, local, nature-based economy, and the work we are doing through the establishment of the Findhorn Watershed Deer Forum.

A local butcher will then showcase how to prepare different cuts of venison, before chef Tim Maddams takes to the stage with an engaging live cooking demonstration, culminating in a delicious tasters for everyone to enjoy.

This event is BYOB, if you’d like to bring a drink to accompany the evening’s nibbles.
