River Connections: Walk - Mains of Sluie

  • Mains of Sluie Forres, Moray, IV36 (map)

Join award-winning local outdoor educators, Wild Things, for a guided nature connection experience along one of the most scenic parts of the lower River Findhorn, as part of our River Connected Communities programme.

With pick up via minibus from Findhorn Village Centre (09:30) and Grant Park, Forres (09:45), we’ll head out to explore the Mains of Sluie, a beautiful section of the river with dramatic sandstone cliffs and pebble beach, just downstream of Logie and located at the heart of the Lower Findhorn Woods Special Area for Conservation (SAC).

This is a rare opportunity to soak up a gently facilitated journey along the River Findhorn, designed to help create perspective and deepen our sense of connection with the river, its wildlife, and the natural world.

The session will end with gathering together for a warming drink around the campfire to reflect and connect about our experiences, before travelling home.

Open to ages 18+ only. This event is FREE but booking is essential - please sign up via the button below.
